“I’m fine. I’m totally fine.”

It was a phrase I used so frequently it even sounded ridiculous to me. I wasn’t fine. I was heading towards burnout at lightspeed. I had spent a lifetime wrapping myself in over-achieving, perfection and so…much…mom guilt that my exhaustion seemed normal, dare I say heroic. I was too busy trying to do it all and be it all while barely holding it together to see the inevitable coming. But the day it all came crashing down around me, leaving me in a puddle sobbing on my bathroom floor, I could no longer pretend I was fine.

Enough Already, shares the journey of my bumpy path from living a life of stress, guilt, frustration, and chaos, to finding peace, joy and confidence within myself.

All by discovering one simple truth: I am Enough Already.

I’d love to hear from you!

If we’ve met at an airport, playground or business event (the three places I seem to spend the most time) and we’ve talked about Enough Already or you’ve read the book (or I’ve given you my book because the Lord knows I do that all the time!) I’d love to hear from you! I would love it if you would share your Enough Already journey with me!

“I loved this book! It highlights what so many of us feel as working/functioning women…burnout and not feeling like we’re ever giving or doing enough. Even though the stories are the author’s own, they’re told in a way that’s so universal, you can easily substitute your own experiences and 100% relate to her journey. I love that the book doesn’t end with a “happy ending,” but rather shows how she is still growing, which is so much easier to hear than the – I’ve finished my journey and you haven’t started” ending in so many books in this genre. It really drives home how everyone is a work in progress, no matter where you are on your path. Her storytelling is vulnerable, funny and poignant all at the same time. I learned so much about her journey and my own path while reading. I would recommend this to anyone who’s suffering from “I’m not enough” syndrome (which is so many of us!).”

“Better understanding the people we work with is essential to great leadership. As a male business leader who works with many women, I thought I understood the many challenges that women, and in particular working mothers, face. But Enough Already was eye-opening for me: it’s an honest, realistic look at what women in my life, both personally and professionally, are juggling, and was instrumental in helping me gain empathy and understanding for their experience. This book is not just for women: it’s a must-read for men who value them in the workplace as well.”

“As a lifelong learner, driven by what I thought was a passion for finding purpose and fulfillment through self-growth, I was turning to one career coach or life expert after another promising ‘six steps to feel better’ or ’10 ways you can improve’ or ’12 productivity hacks that will change your life’.  I would implement tool after tip after trick after app, seeking to somehow feel like I was now doing it right.  I knew as soon as I started reading this book, it was different; I was immediately different.  It was honest and authentic and hilarious and vulnerable in ways many authors in this area of expertise are not willing to be.  I can relate so much to each vignette of the author’s daily life where she would just try harder, or do more, or do better – and yet it would not ‘fix’ how she was feeling.  Living through her experiences vicariously created a mirror, which when I saw myself doing the same thing, stopped me in my tracks. The magic of the book is how clearly it points out that the journey starts with ourselves – how we talk to ourselves, about ourselves, and how learning to be aware of those automated self-dialogues is just the beginning of the path. Every day since reading the book, I’m rewiring my synapses and a lifetime of learned self-mistreatment.  It feels – finally – like truth; the slow, deliberate, daily work of true change.  Not the sugar high of six steps to self-help, but the ‘good for you’ fiber of finding reality.”
